Based on the 630-th model, Lumia 635 was transformed by the addition of 4G features to the device with bright colors and an affordable price. But many are still disputing the need for the emergence of the product on the shelves. Nokia has created a device on the operating system WP, which had what to show to competitors based on Android (a prime example is the 520 model).

Differences: is it Worth it?

Nokia Lumia 635, like its counterpart Nokia Lumia 630, was a good entry level phone. There are three significant differences between these devices. We should start with the price. At the start of the sales, the cost of the 635-th was equal to almost $ 240, and same time you could buy the 630-th for $ 190. This increase in price was due to the possibility of Lumia 635 to be connected to the 4G LTE, plus some design features (glossy finish back panel).

The developers offer the same 4.5-inch 854 x 480 display and 4-core Snapdragon 400 CPU supported by 512MB RAM. From the previous model there were taken an external data store on 8 GB and 5 MP main camera.

The compact arrangement of the phone in one’s hand is nearing perfection. It may be noted that with the size of 4.5″ this smartphone is optimal in terms of “usability” by one hand.

Innovations in Design of Nokia Lumia 635

Better quality of matrix display can be called as another difference of the models. It combines the best of the IPS and ClearBlack technology. For an inexpensive smartphone viewing angles and image clarity are impressive. A lack of extra sensitive screen is disappointing. It has become a brand difference of Nokia phones from its competitors. But this model does not respond to touch in gloves, by nails, etc. However, Lumia 635 borrowed one curious feature from the 1320-th model. We are talking about the possibility to check notifications and see the time on the screen by clicking finger on the display.

In addition to an attractive display we should say about the design. The outer casing looks like an expensive monolith. Screen, removable battery and the phone are kept in one niche. Another part of it – back thick polycarbonate cover – fits tightly with no gaps.

Phone wins over by its brilliant two-layer gloss, which resembles gel coat. Disadvantages of this case: fingerprints, dirt sticking and debris visibility of every scratch.

Size and Location of the Keys

Dimensions are identical with the 630-th model. The weight is 134 g and the thickness is 9.2 mm. Location of the main keys is quite important with such dimensions. On the right edge there are a mechanical key and volume control.

Many may seem uncomfortable a lack of a physical camera button on the case. You have to use the touch soft key, which is not always possible to cope (photo on the move or in an uncomfortable position, as well as one-hand operation). Besides, to reduce costs Microsoft had to sacrifice the shortcut to the camera.

To increase the volume of memory you can use the card slot that is located under the battery. Its presence can also be noted as something being positive.
